God's word assures us of God's love and concern for children. It is
His desire that they would grow in the knowledge of Him. With this
in mind our main focus of teaching is for each and every child to
come into a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. In
order to aide parents in this blessed task we at Calvary Chapel
Jacksonville are committed to:
- Providing age appropriate and Biblical based teaching tools;
- Equipping loving and nurturing teachers; and
- Providing a safe and healthy environment for each child.
What about kids in the Sanctuary during service?
We feel the best way we can serve the whole family is by providing a
good quality Children's Ministry that teaches kids at a level they
can easily understand. Our classes run in conjunction with the
adult service beginning at
9:30 a.m. on Sundays and
7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. We follow a program of worship
through singing, Bible study/stories, Bible memory, and life
applications.
Serving the children in this way provides a setting in the
Sanctuary in which the adults can worship the Lord and have time to
learn without distraction, so that, among other things, they might
be better equipped to raise their children.
If your child is ill ( i.e. runny nose, stomach ache/vomiting,
fever, questionable rash, hacking cough, etc), or for some other
reason cannot attend Sunday School, they may sit with you in the
overflow room, where we also have a TV monitor set up.

Our desire and longing for the young men and women at Calvary Chapel is for them to love the Lord our God with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind. We present the inspired word of God that they might be equipped for their spiritual walk. Our desire is that the youth will continue with the Lord and make Godly choices and decisions.
We want to provide a Godly social environment where the youth can hang out. We do this by participating in youth activities that include going for pizza, football, appropriate movies, lock-ins, coffee shop devotions, and other functions.
Currently, we are studying verse by verse through the book of 1 Thessalonians.
